Back to Beartooth...(with real wireless now)

After lunch in Red Lodge, cute little country town....as it turns out most are in this area...we headed into the Beartooth, about 60 mile ascent to 11,000 ft elevation....here are the long awaited pics...

We eventually climb up on top of those mountains with the snow you see in the far off distance in this pic.

This is the road that switch backs up the left side of the valley above...

On top!!

This was taken at the summit, that's Cath...

Stunning ride!

Still about 1 ft of snow packed onto the rock wall...

Photo of the GPS showing Elevation of 11,011 Ft.

Coming down the back side as you go towards Cooke City, you enter "Grizzly Bear"territory...lots of meadows and rocks and small lakes. Very pretty...however, were stopped for 20 mins for road work delays and discovered voracious mosquitos in this area! Thank god we had armoured gear and full face sealed helmuts!!

Will post our stay at Cooke City separately...a little story....
